Testing Times

Testing Times
27/08/2018

Each and every time,
You leave and say good bye.
A little place inside of me,
Shrivels up and dies.

We need each other’s strength,
As these are testing times.
A season in our lives is ending,
Forever left behind.

While physically apart for now,
Emotionally we are one.
Your always by my side,
As I walk alone in the sun.

Something in the air today,
A waft, a sniff, a scent.
Reminded me of your sweetness,
And everything that meant.

I long to share your air,
To bask in your radiant glow.
You make my world a sweet one,
This you deserve to know.

The sun shines more brightly,
When glimpsed over your shoulder.
The moons hue more exquisite,
Together as we grow older.
When kissed by an angel,
Sweet Ice cream tastes better.
When bathing in your shadow,
Warm water is wetter.
Waking up beside you,
Is my most glorious treasure.
Going to bed each night with you,
Is my dream for now, forever.
