Terrific Trip

Terrific Trip

Gotta get a long little doggie
Am making way to Muskogee
And will be there next day
My great guitar will play.

While we were in Wichita,
Just saw my ma and pa
And when we left again
Ended up in Hutchinson.

One more song sang so freely
Found way to great Greeley
Saw mountain tops all white
Disappearing into the night.

Continued on and did battle
All the way to Seattle
Continued on Westward bound
And Pacific heard its sound.

It sure was a terrific trip
Into past things did slip
After seeing a new dawn
To heaven I had gone.
