Tender Goodbye
Tender Goodbye
The moon gently touches the tears on a tender face,
A woman dressed in black surrendering to fate.
Big empty eyes stare sadly into the darkness of the night,
Hiding inside the sadness for retiring her fight.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dark footprints move slowly over the quiet earth.
Searching for a place where tomorrow won't hurt.
The night is tired and drained from all light,
Trying to hide painful memories tonight.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The woman moves gently to a place where time,
Would ease the heartache caused by this day.
Stars shine like scars in a face no one knows,
The old still new to those born not so long ago...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The moon reaches the place where two days meet,
Knowing that time has ended this day.
Tender is the moment when two souls meet,
Eyes wishing each other a moment of peace.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The footprints move away from the dark,
Disappear in the light of the morning rays.
Yesterday trapped in the memories of today,
Tomorrow just a thought for those who had to stay..
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Time moves sadly when days hide the sorrow,
Trapped carefully away from tomorrow.
Yesterday's tears dry gently when the morning glow,
Kiss the moon a tender Goodnight.
