Temptress
Temptress
how you beckon me,
the wind blowing through the trees,
Hazy sunsets had me buckling at the knees.
A picturesque snow globe,
encapsulates the memories,
sitting on my mantle piece,
Its presence brings me only peace.
Temptress,
still you walk in my dreams,
enchanting every speck of sand,
that danced beneath your feet.
A roaring fire,
A piercing shriek,
That Temptress I thought I'd never meet,
Now stands, aware, at my feet.
Her words were soft, and calm, and sweet
"My darling prince, just rest, please sleep."
