Temporary Sadness

Shall your sadness be but temporary
And your memories a guide
On the long and treacherous journey
Until together we reside

May the face of peace and happiness
Help unclench deaths solid grasp
May your place within the Heavens
Be just as you have asked

So prosper as the days go by
With each day and passing year
And bridge the vast celestial plane
With memories of me there

So when your time on earth is through
Just walk into the light
For I'll be there with open arms
To kiss and hold you tight
