Temporary
I really don’t understand,
Why it has to be this way.
I want things to go back,
To the simple way they were.
I said that I was sorry,
And there’s not nothing else I can do.
You say there are other issues,
You’d rather not drag me into.
I don’t want you to go this alone,
Because I know that it all hurts you.
I’ll be here for you always,
Friend or maybe more,
And I know I must deserve this,
Because this is what’s happening now.
You said it is temporary,
So temporary we will see.
But if I don’t get my wish,
Friends is all we have to be.
