Temporary
Temporary
In my parents arms I can be
A place created to stay.
A warm hug, and sipping hot tea,
But this place will be gone one day.
Stitches ripping from the quilt
All other patches know where they belong-
But this place is fading, time takes without guilt
What if one day it´s gone?
A bird leaves the nest
We all grow,
This place is mine but I still can´t find rest…
Places are like buses they come and go.
I long to find a place that´ll last
It might be with my family but time ticks…
It ticks, ticks, ticks: time flying too fast
Places, people, past, present, life it´s temporary and never sticks.
Temporary it may be but still all the places bring joy.
Memories of friends, places, rooms and never being alone…
Memories of playing with tiny figures and favorite toys-
Places may be temporary but these memories are my home.
