Tell Me Why

Tell me why.
Our love had to die.
You had to lie.
The moon fell out of the sky.
You just out of no where said good-bye.
I thought we gave it a good try.

Tell me why.
Did I think I was right.
I could love you forever as long as there’s light.
We could go day to day without a fight.

Tell me why.
As usual I wound up wrong.
I thought I’d be ok and strong.
I’d be over you before long.
Now it’s time to move on.
Hopefully it’ll be over by the next dawn.
However no matter what you’re gone.
But tell me why?
