Tell Me
You wrote your worries on the palm of your hand
and slapped me with it until I couldn't stand
Intoxicated jealously has a super glue hold
Break me when you shape me into your perfect mold.
But I'm not perfect, I bleed and I feel.
And I'm not perfect, only my bruises heal.
Broken from the inside you can't see the scar
With every step I move, I know where they are.
You apologize with lies only the devil could write
Bully me to blindness only darkness shines a light
Insecurities drain my abilities to function as I should.
I know I should leave but I don't think I would.
Tell me I am a weak one,
I should have walked away.
Tell me I am stupid
I hear those words everyday.
Tell me I have a choice
I don't have a debt to pay
Tell me I am a victim, a fool.
It's love that is what makes me stay.
But I'm not perfect, I bleed and I feel.
And I'm not perfect, only my bruises heal.

You touch me with tenderness and kiss away tears.
Everything will be okay, fragile are my foolish fears.
It's my love that drives your mind to crazy, you control,
so strong your emotions because I'm what makes you whole.
If you didn't love me so much you would get so jealous.
If you didn't need me so much your life wouldn't be such a mess.
Swallow the pain in a single white pill.
I bow I break I bend to your will.
Your hold on me last a lifetime, cement shoes I drown
My wedding dress on Christmas Eve becomes my burial gown
