Tell Me

Tell me that you love me.
Whisper it, shout it, cry it—
Words precious from thee.
Say them always, never quit.

Tell me that you love me.
Breathe it, mouth it, smile it—
Do it on land, air, and sea.
Never hesitate, not one whit.

Tell me that you love me.
Embrace it, caress it, sing it—
Let my heartstrings play free.
Of a truth, we are a perfect fit.

Tell me that you love me.
Listen as I tell you the same—
There is no sweeter she,
There is no brighter flame.
