When you’re down on your luck, all one needs is
love and a hug.
Quote - Poet’s own
I'll tell it like it is, the mood that's blue
People tell me I'm looking well, not true
Those words come alike a stab on my heart
When my world's completely falling apart.
I put on a smile that’s entirely fake
To disguise my tears for fears and heartbreak
Who wants to listen to my tales so blue
Tales that I prefer that folk never knew.
I aim to be kindly though there are times
I’ll speak with words that are most unrefined
Then beat myself with an imagined stick
And pray for forgiveness of my remiss.
I feel alike that fantastical lass
Abled to have stepped through a looking glass
That everything in my life is reversed
Gone from angelic to devil on earth.
I’m trying my best to put myself right
But it is surely one heck of a fight
One day I hope to tell it like it is
That all is wonderful and life is bliss.
