Teddybear Dreams

My teddy-bear stayed in toyland
when I out-grew childish things
He stayed there in carefree moments
and lives on in make believe dreams

Alone on the bed he ponders
He heaves up his shoulders and wonders
Looking and longing for childhood
that can never return again.

This reminds me of Toy Story... you know the pink teddy waiting to be played with again. This was perfectly worded... no unnecessary words. And I love how this was told from the opposite the end... from the toy that used to be so much more, but isn't because it was only fueled by the child's imagination. Great work!

Dear Xegrakio POETESS, S-N, S U Z. I had a teddybear once for about 2 months. I left her in the house I had moved from with my little sister, Kim. I never seen her or Kim again; but I know she wasn't alone. This is a Great story from Youth. Superb Quill. I LOVE YOU ALWAYS and FOREVER YOUR Loyal Poet, S-P, and Friend...HG
