Technology

I don't need little emoticons I need sunshine in my face
I don't need face book likes I need you over by my place

I don't need messenger chat I need a friend with skin on
I don't need cel beebs nor empty stares that say I'm gone

I don't want technology to rule my day its plastic anyway
I don't want an email to say "I'm having a baby any day"

I do want to write good poetry on a sunny beach and say,
this has been a good day cuz I haven't googled away, my day.

All you see is people with their heads down looking at their phone. Human contact as it was is lost, I much prefer the days before the modern way of communicating, Emilia : )

I think instead of becoming more intelligent beings we are beginning to forget what we learned long ago. For example how to talk to a friend without connecting to anything else but their hearts. Thank you for always being there, dear friend. Stay healthy and keep sharing your poems. they matter to me

Thank you dear Lindsay, its always nice to see a face hear a voice, and connect with the heart. Computers have their place, but we should not let them take over our lives, Thanks for reading

Appreciate the sentiments...after a while it all becomes too much of a distraction.

I agree with you Vijay, it takes us away from our families and true life living
