Tears poured out of me like rain today

Tears poured out of me like rain today
When I had found out that
my best friends
Mother had passed away
And in that very moment when I found
out about her loss
a numbness and a silence came over me
Because it was so hard for me to accept
that the good Lord had taken her away
So quickly and suddenly
But death has never been
something
that was ever easy for me
And I am almost sure that you feel the same way
When a cherished loved one of yours has passed away
But it just goes to show all of us
That this will inevitably happen to us some day
