Tears On the Wind
With all my heart I know you love me,
yet the flowers of my faith are fading away
in the field of grace you secured for me.
Like tears on the wind I am drifting away.
With every Sun that shines at noon
I feel the radiance of peace and love.
With every twilight star and moon;
I know my hope and help come from above.
All of my strength craves you more...
and with every breath I watch and pray
yet my weaknesses hurt you sore...
Like tears on the wind I am drifting away.
I am so afraid to give you my heart again,
for with it I have commited common crimes.
My passion and pride cause you pain,
yet you have forgiven me one too many
times.
With each new step I am crave to cling
to the Cross where you took my shame
away.
With a pure and graceful heart let me sing...
Like tears on the wind I was drifting away.
With faith and freedom I cease to roam;
I grow daily in the garden of great grace.
Keep my heart fixed on my glorious home
where I will see you face to face.
