Tears On Steel Strings

While the sun was sleeping he laid the guitar on his knee in the darkness strumming love can be so lonely. Tears falling from his heart upon the steel strings echoing through an empty house so sadly did they ring. All alone he played a memory of a melody imagining her smile while she quietly listened love can be so lonely.
