Tears of Sages

Is not what is sought mere illusion
Shrouded in a haze of chaos and confusion
That lays waste the creations of God
Justified by a righteous façade
Lines are drawn and defiantly broken
By vicious acts instead of words spoken
There cannot be truth in this
With innocence cast to a vile bliss
They stand with wisdom rendered blind
Nicked the hope of all mankind
Leaving wailing in its path
Bleeding from the wounds of wrath
Leaving those with true wisdom reaped
Prayers are veiled in tears they weep
They, who have sought the secrets of God’s heart
Truth is their wisdom, seeming futile to impart
