Tears of a Woman

Softly weeping
    alone
     suffering
        in silence

 shame
  weakness
    fear
      loss

 mistakes made
    love lost
     fear of the world
       of dying

tears no-one sees
  hidden well
    veil of false courage
a woman who has it all

sensitive
   loving
      kind
        tender

strength
   purpose
    hope
     dreams

I will dry my eyes
    and begin today
         the tears of a woman
                will have to wait
