I hear
Each night she cries
Tears like crystalline rain;
They pierce my heart like frozen knives,
Sink deep

Yes, I felt the same way with our first daughter, and then the second one came, and then a third -- the youngest now is 17, even now . . . if anyone of them cries, my heart aches . . . love the poem.
