Tears In My Eyes

The Tears in My Eyes

You quickly left me in the morning.
I had no time for good-byes.
Life for you has now ended
That’s put the tears in my eyes.

Memories come flooding back
Of two brothers having fun.
The years we spent together
Doing things when we were young.

But an illness overtook you
And dark clouds covered the sky.
You could no longer enjoy your life
It put the tears back in my eyes.

Now you’ve gone on to Heaven
Where your golden mansion lies.
I will miss you, my brother
And still have tears in my eyes.
