Tears In My Eyes

I'm smiling

Tears in my eyes 
Ready to fall 
'Bout ready to cry

I'm happy
I'm happy
Well at least i'm trying 
To be

This is a new year
A new year
Time for a different me

A better me
A better me
One thats not going to 
Lie in unhappiness

I'm smiling 
I'm happy

Tears in my eyes
I wipe them dry
No time for past cries
A new me

Unfortunately, the day you wrote this was the day my father had a stroke. He died a short time after. I just had to read it and now I feel "'bout ready to cry." Beautiful poem. Love, Carolyn
