Tears Have Come To Late

When I wanted someone to help me No loyal friend was ever there for me When I wanted someone to hear my cry Not one friend ever listened to me Now I know what I must be One that can only rely on myself And now these tears you cry Have come too late Because the friend you once knew Has been changed forever And you will see when your time comes When you must seek others for help But not one friend will be there for you And then you will live this lonely curse That I have lived all my life

I'm sad you feel so abandoned, Sigfrido. Its not a pleasant human feeling however, now that you're a part of PoetrySoup there are no strangers here only friends you haven't met yet ... smile ... there is always another day and new friends. Good luck to you and congratulations on your writing being featured this week!
