Tears Bathe the Soul

Tears can easily bathe the wounded soul
Flowing unhindered from sad, redden eyes
Do their part, helping the heart to console,
When desires, circumstances compromise
Tears can help us to compartmentalize
Sadness, and to uncover its sources,
There among our most precious resources
Then, while pondering on the deeper hurt,
And summoning our various courses,
Work with us, our future woes to avert.

I shed a zillion of them today trying to get my oldest niece to reconcile with her father (my brother) and her sisters. She's a difficult case; thinks she never does anything wrong, expects everyone to bend to her wishes. She has cut off everyone in the whole family but me. She does, however, promise she will get in touch with everyone. My fingers are crossed. Being a healer/a go-between/a favorite uncle is a damn burden!
