Tears

Thank you tissue
I’m glad you’re double ply
Tears flow down my face
I’m crying
I don’t know why
Nobody’s sick or dying
But I hurt so much inside
Since my girl said goodbye
To a love so strong and true

I tried to hide my sorrow
But was made to think
Of the girl I thought I knew
Confused by feeling ashamed
And at the same time proud
I didn’t hide my head in a crowd
Afraid I’d be both lonely now and
Through so many empty years
I thank you tissue for hiding my tears
