Teardrops

Teardrops I hold on;
                                Warm as a dying ember,
                                    as I watch you go.

Leaves one wondering about the relationship. This is a poem that allows the reader to fill in the blanks and relate to it through their own experiences. A characteristic I enjoy in poetry.

This is brilliant... Rumi said goodbyes are only for those who love with their eyes, for those who love with their heart, there is no such thing as goodbye.

Your words bring to mind a final farewell, JCB. Tears are meant to flow, thus relieving the strong emotions which mount within. ~ Regards // paul
