Teardrop

Is every teardrop
not a raging waterfall
down the ocean's bay?

Without second thoughts
you drifted away from me
when the waves arose

I have wept and wept
till I've cried you a river:
Why not sail back home?

Like a flickering torch,
you were never meant to stay
I too will move on.
