Teachers Job Is a Cinch

Teacher’s job stressful?
Are you kidding?
What is stressful about:
Knowing three of your students have been thrown away by their parents?
A kindergarten followed a blood trail and found her murdered mother?
Six of your charges live in houses with loaded guns?
A third grade boy has a meth lab in his bedroom?
Twenty one of twenty one of your mandated reports were returned unfounded?
You wonder if you will be murdered at each home visit?
An eleven-year old girl is being raped by her stepfather while the family gets counseling?
Six children in your class sneak home food for younger siblings?
Church partner gave turkey and all trimming to parent who never cooked it?
Mothers storm out angry when school refuses to give them receipts for toys for tot gifts for their children at Christmas?
Social worker refuses to make home visit after cobra turned loose on last one?
Child tells teacher “call my mother. She will straighten you out.”
Teacher’s job stressful?
Teacher’s PTSD?
Don’t be silly.
Anyone can do it.

Wow, enlightening to say the least. So sad, too. Teachers are true blessings and we all should be praying for them. Love and prayers to you, dear Caren... Gina

I pray for them daily. Sometimes hourly. We need volunteers in the schools to listen to children read also .
