Teach Your Children Well

Where did all the time go?
Where are the children, they just grow and grow
Turn around and they are out the door
Did we teach them enough?
Or could we have taught them more?
We've explained all the important things in life
Like the love of God and Country
To be honest and loyal
And to look for the same good qualities in a husband or a wife
And someday if they are blessed with children of their own to carry on
I hope that they will teach them the difference between right and wrong
These are the things that are so important to me
And I hope I have done my job well
And whatever will be will be
