Teach Me To Fly

Look at that blue, clear and open sky
Take me there mother, teach me to fly
Can't help myself from wanting to soar high
Take me there mother, just teach me to fly
Dark clouds why I see in your blue eyes
Tell me why can't you let me fly high
Are you afraid of me burning my wings
Or is it your mind deluges with terror of brutal beings
But we can't quit flying for the fear to die
Let us fly mother, just teach me to fly

I like this poem. This sounds like something a baby bird would ask its mother. Good poem - JH
