Tattooed Heart
The etching of your name
Upon my heart is
forever more
From my outer shell
To my inner core
Blood lights up each
letter just so
From beginning to end
It starts to show
When you place your hand on my chest
You know exactly just whereto press
My pulse beats perfect
in rhythm like a drum
I feel chills that make
my body completely numb
Your face etched in
the depths of my mind
Will always come forth
in a matter of time
Day becomes night
in hopes of your
coming home
Not a second goes by
without it being known
My heart tattoo always
lives from me to you
The special gift that
makes each day new
