Taste Your Tears

I can taste you, taste your tears so salty and wet. I know things you'd rather
forget. Remembering is all you have left, keep it in your heart, keep him in your
heart. You may have had some problems the two of you, remember he always
loved you. All he wanted was you to be happy and safe, I know I'm sure.
Now you feel like you want to cry maybe even feel as if your going to die.
When those eyes fill up with the color of sadness, I will be there.
To taste your tears, wish away all those fears. You feel lost and afraid now but I'll
be there to show you how to let love in your heart, only if you'll let me. I remember
a time not so long ago when you took his word as gospel, "don't say I love you
unless you mean it." Well boy he loved you and meant it with every fiber of his
being. I wish to the heavens I had been there that night. I would have held you in
my arms so tight. I would have rocked you gently all through the night like a
mother rocks her newborn to sleep. Brushing your forehead chasing all your
fears away. Tasting your tears so you could feel my love. If I could walk right up to
the heavens and take a bargain with the gods to bring him home to you. I would
do this just to see you smile again, if I couldn't I would be there for you always.
To kiss your tears to wish away all your fears, if you ever need me I'm always
here.
