Tannins

Extra bitter are the tannins found in this ink
My ignorance caused this heart to sink
Remembering you waving on a grassy knoll
Ice is all that covers it now just as it does my soul
To think I saw something behind an arm, it was bent
Found to be just as fake as the poser that placed resent
But saturated I was in the possibility of who
All opportunities to rekindle squandered by you

Sounds bittersweet, dear, I hope no one ever takes you for granted.

Unfortunately the realities of life is at some point everyone is taken for granted by someone. As always thank you very much for stopping by! A.S.
