Tango Betty
To its' core,
my heart's been infected,
I accepted my feelings,
now I'm rejected,
in your game,
I was just a pawn,
I can't believe,
again you're gone,
tell me a lie,
which I'd rather believe,
maybe it would be less painful,
than getting my heart shoved through a sieve,
my own stupid mistake,
to believe I had a chance,
I was so naive,
not to remember this dance,
dancing to and fro,
avoidance is the key,
I've danced this dance before,
but really, Betty?
I thought you were more,
that you were so good I didn't deserve you,
but if you insist upon this dance,
I was wrong- we're through.
