Tangles and Knots
Tangles & Knots
In my hair there are tangles and knots
Knots of anxiety, grief and depression that leave pulled painful ripped empty spots
Tangle one hair, pull with the other
Another knot to discover
Pain from the pull and tangle
Damage and destruction from the strangle
Again & again the pull and the detangle begin
Where it ends is where it begins
Hopeless and tired of trying
Only leads to more disappointment and crying
What’s the point in trying
When all you feel like is hiding
Tangled and in distress
Feelings of hopelessness and nothingness
Tangled in this web we weave
But I’m the one who is constantly deceived
With false promises and no care
It doesn’t matter about your tangled and knotted hair
