Tall Tales
Tall Tales

Sometimes in life strange consequences befall,
and in our data bases they remain for recall.
Things filed as truth we can never change,
but many, take liberty, and facts rearrange.
Some who wouldn’t dare, tell an out and out lie,
will embellish the facts just enough to get by.
Sometimes from life, a story warrants retelling,
but each time its told the facts continue swelling.
Any story oft repeated from the truth will stray,
clock changes black & white until truth becomes gray.
If we massage the facts when we’re telling a story,
it becomes a tall tale and then who gets the glory?
