Talking To Myself

Trim Trimmer get your head out the gutter,
forget the overbearing suffer and the bother,
forget the negative air you breathe like a monster,
prove you're a man and come out from undercover.

Now listen Nicholas,
your life is ridiculous.
The bitterness has been tasted
and with it times been wasted.

Though you sit and ridicule
take note you do the minimal,
you sit and dream up miracles
and when compared you're comical.

Your life is pathetic,
it's all abit tragic,
it won't change by magic,
you need to change this habit.

Woah, wait there a minute,
this thought isn't finished,
you phase it out because it's horrible,
that's why overcoming it seems impossible.

Now listen, you need a little discipline,
that's the needed medicine,
because you haven't got anything
and you need a win.

Depression is the competition,
turn the time spent wishing
into time spent on a mission,
force depression into submission.

It's been ages since you engaged in a conversation with a friend,
you're encaged like a slave in constriction with no end,
break it into stages, start a construction that amends,
for god sake man fight back, this is your life to defend!!!!

You know what you need to do but you've no desire,
because that's what depression does it stops you trying,
it's not that you're lazy or your brain's short of wires,
plus you've anxiety from the society that said you were lying.

They make out they're loyal friends but what about Facebook,
those status's they wrote about you, the comments, the bandwagon,
they didn't think you'd see, they didn't think you'd look,
the true colours of the backstabbing, to your face blaggers, never forgotten.

Now you've written this thought process down
you can see how your thoughts spiral around,
there's no place for the negativity of the past,
stop pushing the future to the background and last.

Yeah they put on a show that they're kind people and nice,
when they're not, they're selfish, so don't let them do it twice,
the fake image they project lost your respect and you left those people,
so don't be angry at the one or two that showed you true evil.

It's now about the future, so forget them, and focus on you,
take note between three stanzas you forgot them and went back,
beware that harping on the past is something that you do,
you need to break that habit for you if you're to ever get back on track.
