Taking a Trip

Leaving home to take a trip Invites a lot of stress, For whether things go just as planned Is anybody’s guess. Within your comfort zone you know The rules and the routines, The details all at your command With few surprising scenes. Yet out of bounds all bets are off And so much can go wrong, As unfamiliar routes demand The proof that you belong. It’s easier, of course, to stay At home, without a doubt, But there are times a different land Is worth the getting out.

I think we can all be a little ‘stick in the mud’ at times, Ilene… but it’s funny how, when you take the plunge, it’s invariably woll worth the effort. Enjoy your trip. Terry

So agree, Ilene. When I was traveling with the music, if I left my suitcase open when packing I would find our Wheaten terrier in it hoping to go with me. He, as a show dog, traveled the US! This is delightful and is so true of travel. Enjoyed it very much. Thank you for sharing it. Blessings!
