Take Time

I try so hard to fit in, but I seem to be out of place. Maybe the sound of a different drummer keeps me from living in haste. I like to take time to smell the flowers, hear the birds sing, and see them flit about. I love to listen to music too- and to children, as they run and shout. Everyone seems to be in such a hurry. They rush about and busy themselves with things. Why, I guess they wouldn’t even know it, if they heard the rustle of Angel’s wings. Making money and spending it takes time. And time is what life’s all about. If we never take time for the finer things, then the loveliest part of life is left out. The finer things in life are plentiful, and they are not difficult to see. Sunrise, sunset, and childrens’ smiles, the best things in life are free. Slow down! What is your hurry! Why do you rush through life so? Time, the most priceless gift of all, waits for no man in its ceaseless flow.
