Take Me From the Cold

I have finally felt the winter’s chill
As icy fingers have penetrated my blanket
I am now shivering, not so much thrilled
As deep within I start to freeze

It permeates my skin, reaching the bone
Down deeper to my very core
“Oh light, be cast upon darkness shone
This I beg now, please oh please!”
