Take Me Back

Take me back please
To the time when we used to kiss--gentle, sweet, torrid, passionate, French--
To the time when the smell of your brewed coffee,
Would awaken my soul every morning and set my spirit free.

I wanna feel that comfort and security again
When your love bites are the only ones who inflict pain,
When your screams of pleasure are the only music to my ears,
When your birthday surprises bring me to tears.

Please, take me back to that time
When spilling coffee on the white bedsheets was my only crime,
When I was still able to write poems about us,
When every smile was idyllic and every hug was tighter as it was.

Take me back please
To those wild December nights, when blankets always crease
To the time when my giggles with your tickles are your fave playlist,
To the time when every moment we shared was always the best.
