Take From Me
Take from me
What you need
God gave me
What I have
Not to keep
To myself in greed
That's the purpose
Of me, I feel
Is to help
Someone else heal .
When your alone
I fill your
Empty space unknown
Speaking words
You always wanted
But never did hear
Maybe in the quiet
Just hold you near
Making Gone
All the tears .
But God
What of me
I'm made hollow
Far beyond empty
I have nothing
Much that is left
My aching heart
Breathes a shallow breath
I'm so weary
From this blessed gift .
My feelings fall
Like leaves
To their death
My kisses are given
And taken from thieves
My body shivers continually
Without release
Must this always be
Everything but the tears
They take from me.
