Take Care

We were the best of friends, when it was good,
We were the greatest of lovers, when it was good,
Now just a distant memory, a whisper in my dreams,
A thought popping in my head, in an idle moment it seems,
I wish you the very best, you're gonna go far my love,
I hope you find the rest, the missing pieces of your soul,
Find the answers of why you are, how to change, like diamonds from coal,
I told you I'd wait, you didn't seem to care,
So I won't, if that's what you dare,
I'll go on with my life, and I'll find my own way,
I truly wish I could make you stay,
I'll carry you with me, through out it all,
In my heart, forever and always,
Love, your one true love, your biggest regret, your star-crossed lover.
