Tainted
With prospects fading in your world now
I’m spent up on a dying breeze
An insect tumbling into nothing
I look for something I can’t be
With expectation born from fear
I am told what I should see
But realisation sold my mother
Now I search so far down deep
People leaving, no more choices
Reflections dig into my sight
Lies are born from the unheard voices
I’m alone and without light
With aspects of a burning city
I’m in hell because I’m through
Until I’m gone I will be preaching
Even if I’m burning you
Call me awkward, call me stupid
I’m over nothing, it’s all been said
Numb and silent, killing cupid
I’m done with seeing that you are fed
Call me painful when I’m honest
You must not like to see inside
Form some vengeance in your forest
Burn it down until you find
You’re alone, left here dying
Your bitterness destroyed the world
Looking closely it’s over nothing
All because you were so scared
With this knowledge I’m through with caring
In the end you are just me
Tainted Angels, a dream we’re sharing
Bitterness will make it breathe
