Symbol of the Rose

Stop and smell the roses God gives us to enjoy The symbol of his love to us His mercy, peace and joy A white one, oh, so beautiful A saviour white as snow A spotless, shameless, beautiful Lamb Jesus loves me, this I know And there's a pretty yellow one A Christians duty, the gospel share To tell the world of God's dear son To sinners everywhere But red's the best one of 'em all A saviour came and died He shed his precious blood for all So we, his love could find

It seems there is an aura around most of your poems. Thanks for your encouraging spirit. May the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob keep you always, in His love... Jake

I really like this one! It shows the beauty of nature as well as the mercy of God. I just learned a few days ago that 'savior' refers to a man, whereas 'saviour' refers to God; something that is lost in modern English. I think it is fun to write with older words and spellings anyway; it seems to give things a dimention that is not commonly found.

Another fine poem. I love the smell of a rose. I also like the combination of nature and God. Great short story as well.
