Sydney Inmates

Sydney Inmates Two inmates in Sydney had planned in advance Hidden the bed sheets when they had a chance Tied them together in a 60 foot length Made sure they were tight and had enough strength They planned the escape through their window it seems And then over a wall by any old means They planned their escape for last New Year’s Eve night And walk through the town till they’re out of sight But alas they were thwarted and their plan was shut down When the 60 foot length of tied sheet was found A pretty good plan but try as I might I have to believe that these inmates weren’t bright You see they were housed in a one-story jail And that 60 foot rope left a way too long tail And the fence they were hoping to scale if they could Was maybe 6 meter of old chain link and wood When caught, they were moved to a site more secure With hopes that their next plan was better I’m sure Just another news flash from your Uncle Mike
