I think I am getting soft I used to hold myself aloft I came in from outside Where I prefer to hide This old dude Do not mean to be rude I came out of the woods Cause that is my hood Heard this moaning sound There was this old man lying on the ground I knelt down at his side I can see his finger was fried He opened his eyes and looked at me Was glad that there I be Made sure nothing was seriously wrong Was a big guy No lie But I got him standing Can tell he had had a hard landing Got him to his car He said he did not live far Said he had a spell He had got out of his car and fell Thanked me That I was homeless he could see Asked me if I had ate Last couple days there has been nothing on my plate So yeah I went He was kinda heaven sent Eighty two years old A couple of hours he was lying there cold He cannot move so good I understood We talked a long time About him I write this rhyme Told me as long as I want My dog Jinjin and I have a place to haunt I watch over him make sure he is safe and sound This new friend I have found I clean his place Guess it was grace Funny how things turn out. Hope to shout Guess I got a home No longer need to roam Tiny little town No need to frown I have to get used to this Bliss Have my own room I do not feel so gloom I drive him to and from the store Help him through his door I flip a switch there is light That is right He needs help so I stay I guess that is ok Stay until he does not need me However long that be We shall see
