Swing
Early on from playful days, we can
Saddle up and pursue the sky.
Leaving bonds chained beneath gravity,
To follow along and fly.
A novel freedom can be felt throughout,
The momentum that is built.
As a creative arc reaches forward,
Kicking heels without guilt.
There's a pendulum-like mimicry,
Piercing through this space & time.
As consistent to the movement,
With little reason or rhyme.
Whether tangents can be drawn,
By the flight or its release.
Pure joy will often reward,
As laughter seen to increase.
Now while some may view this journey,
As going nowhere, awfully fast.
I might argue this path gives reflection,
To both a future and a past.
