Sweetness and Sorrow
What is this, what is the reason?
Why should everything have its place
And every occurrence its reason?
The sun shines, the rain pours
Fire brings death chaos and destruction
But also new life and fresh flowers
Why must we question our happiness
Yet yearn for it in times of sorrow
Sometimes we lead, sometimes we follow.
Sometimes we lend, sometimes we borrow.
Sometimes overcome by joy and happiness
Sometimes wracked by grief and sorrow
Sometimes full and others empty
Sometimes firm in our choices and beliefs
Sometimes ( too often) easily tempted
