Sweet Serenade
You ever miss someone you barely met
As if the sun was about to set
And them you were going to forget.
You ever meet someone you wanted to know
As if you known them forever
But seen them never
And you need to let go.
You ever wander into a park,
And see a smiling face after dark,
And venture through a city unknown,
And their smile, their laugh,
Just kept u mind blown.
You ever miss someone you barely met
As if the sun was about to set
And them you were going to forget.
That happened to me only once,
A memory that's seeming to fade,
As if it was just a mirage,
A picture I paint,
in my mind,
Like a beautiful collage,
So amazing and kind,
Another you couldn't find.
But as I watch the memory fade,
Like a sweet serenade,
I'll never forget the space,
The face,
We shared until the skies turned Grey,
Until night turned to day,
And nothing but smiles upon our face!
