Sweet Salvation

You ooze Like the macaroon middles You so delicately designed Your hazelnut centre Crushed Encased by something slightly more than air Jaws biting down Of those around you All those hours Gone In a single swallow Empty plate gratification Sweet salvation For a macaroon moment Gone from now As you lie in bed Eating your cake The others made Not nearly as tenderly It never tastes as good alone
